Community Respiratory service

This webpage contains information on our Community Respiratory service.

Service overview

The Community Respiratory service offers a range of support for patients who have a confirmed Respiratory diagnosis and advice to other healthcare professionals.

Our aim is to deliver the highest quality Respiratory Care each patient. We work with patients to maintain their independence through self-management. We aspire to treat every patient with compassion, respect and provide excellence in care.

Respiratory Service inclusion criteria

  • Patients aged 18 years and over
  • Has a Surrey Downs GP
  • Confirmed Respiratory condition: COPD, Asthma Bronchiectasis and Lung Fibrosis

Respiratory Service exclusion criteria

  • Suspected Cancer
  • Suspected / or active TB/COVID
  • Haemoptysis
  • Acute, abnormal changes on Chest X Ray or CT Scan

Locations

We offer Clinic appointments at Leatherhead Community Hospital, Molesey Community Hospitals and Dorking Community Hospital, as well as providing home visits for those that meet the criteria.

Who will I see?

The team consists of Specialist Respiratory Nurses, Physiotherapists and Rehabilitation Assistants who may be involved in your care.

A referral will need to be completed by a healthcare professional.
